Day 1: Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park

Arrive at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station and drive to Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of India's most celebrated wildlife destinations. After checking into your accommodation, enjoy the surrounding natural landscape and relax.

Day 2: Kaziranga – Wildlife & Safari

Start the day with a wildlife safari in Kaziranga National Park, home to the world's largest population of the greater one-horned rhinoceros, along with elephants, wild water buffalo, deer and numerous bird species. Depending on the safari zone and operating schedule, another safari or nature experience can be arranged.

Day 3: Kaziranga – Majuli

After breakfast, drive towards the Brahmaputra valley and continue to Majuli, one of the world's most distinctive river islands. Travel by ferry across the Brahmaputra and experience the island's peaceful landscapes and traditional communities. Explore local villages and learn about the island's unique Vaishnavite cultural heritage and Sattras.

Day 4: Explore Majuli – Jorhat

Spend the morning exploring more of Majuli, including its traditional arts, mask-making, Sattras and village life. Later, take the ferry back across the Brahmaputra and continue to Jorhat, the heart of Assam's tea country.

If time permits, visit a tea garden or enjoy a tea-related experience.

Day 5: Jorhat – Tea Experience – Sivasagar

Explore the tea country around Jorhat and experience the traditions behind Assam's world-famous tea. Depending on the season and arrangements, a tea garden visit, factory experience and tea tasting can be included.

Later, travel to Sivasagar, the historic centre of the Ahom Kingdom. Visit landmarks such as Sivasagar Sivadol, Rang Ghar and Talatal Ghar, offering an insight into Assam's remarkable history.

Overnight: Jorhat

Day 6: Sivasagar – Ahom Heritage – Jorhat

Continue exploring the heritage of the Ahom dynasty around Sivasagar. Discover the region's historic monuments, temples and cultural landscape before returning to Jorhat.

Day 7: Jorhat – Guwahati
