Who We Are

Your Northeast India Destination Expert Since 2016

Assam Discovery is a government-recognised tour operator specialising in Assam and Northeast India, creating private, customised and tailor-made tours for travellers from India and around the world.

Founded and led by Sidheswar Kumar Mishra and Parinita Mishra, Assam Discovery combines deep local knowledge with personalised travel planning to help visitors experience the region beyond conventional sightseeing. From Kaziranga wildlife safaris and Assam tea gardens to Majuli's living culture, Meghalaya's waterfalls and living root bridges, Arunachal Pradesh's Himalayan landscapes and Nagaland's tribal traditions, we design journeys around each traveller's interests, pace and style of travel.

Our expertise extends across wildlife tours, tea tourism, cultural and heritage journeys, village experiences, nature and adventure travel, photography and birdwatching tours, and private multi-state Northeast India holidays. Every itinerary can be tailored to your travel dates, interests, preferred accommodation, pace and level of comfort.

Travel Expertise for International & Domestic Travellers

For international travellers, we provide one local point of contact for planning your Northeast India journey — from itinerary design and airport transfers to accommodation, transportation, permits, local guides, wildlife safaris and assistance throughout your trip.

For Indian travellers, we create flexible Northeast India holidays for families, couples, groups and independent travellers, adapting journeys to departure city, available holiday time, interests, accommodation preferences and budget.

Our experience with travellers from Korea, Japan, the USA and other international markets, together with years of organising travel for Indian guests, has helped us understand both the expectations of overseas visitors and the practical needs of domestic travellers.
