Day 1: Guwahati – Itanagar

Overnight: Itanagar

Your cultural journey into Arunachal Pradesh begins from Guwahati.

Travel through the plains of Assam towards the foothills of Arunachal Pradesh and continue to Itanagar, the capital of the state.

Depending on your arrival time, explore selected local attractions or relax at the hotel.

The evening provides an opportunity to discuss the journey ahead and learn about the communities and regions you will encounter.

Day 2: Itanagar – Ziro Valley

Overnight: Ziro

After breakfast, travel towards the scenic Ziro Valley.

As you climb into the Eastern Himalayan foothills, the landscape changes to forested hills, agricultural fields and traditional settlements.

After arrival, begin your introduction to the Apatani cultural landscape.

Depending on arrival time, visit a nearby village and explore traditional houses, agricultural fields and village surroundings.

Day 3: Ziro – Apatani Villages & Traditional Agriculture

Overnight: Ziro

Today is dedicated to discovering the Apatani community and its distinctive cultural landscape.

Explore selected villages such as Hong, Hari, Bulla and Hari-Bulla, subject to local accessibility and community considerations.

Walk through village lanes and observe traditional homes, community spaces and agricultural fields.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Apatani culture is the traditional system of wet-rice cultivation integrated with fish farming, reflecting generations of local ecological knowledge.

Where appropriate, interact with local residents and learn about:

• Traditional agriculture, Village organisation, Local food, Handicrafts, Traditional homes, Festivals and ceremonies, Changing lifestyles

The afternoon can be kept flexible for photography and additional village exploration.

Day 4: Ziro – Daporijo

Overnight: Daporijo

Leave Ziro and continue towards Daporijo, travelling through increasingly remote landscapes.

The journey itself becomes part of the experience, passing forests, rivers, hills and small settlements.

Daporijo lies within the culturally diverse Upper Subansiri region, associated particularly with the Tagin community.

Depending on local availability, explore the town and surrounding villages.

This is an opportunity to experience a less-visited part of Arunachal Pradesh away from the state's major tourist circuits.

Day 5: Daporijo – Aalo

Overnight: Aalo

Continue towards Aalo, situated in the scenic Siang region.

The landscape gradually changes as you travel through mountain roads, forests and river valleys.

Aalo is an important centre of the Galo community and provides opportunities to understand the cultural diversity of central Arunachal Pradesh.

Depending on arrival time, visit a local market or nearby village.

Where available, a local cultural interaction can be arranged to introduce travellers to Galo traditions, food and everyday life.

Day 6: Aalo – Galo Villages & Cultural Experiences

Overnight: Aalo

Spend the day exploring the cultural landscape around Aalo.

Visit selected villages and learn about traditional Galo homes, agriculture and community life.

Day 7: Aalo – Pasighat

Overnight: Pasighat

Continue towards Pasighat, one of the oldest towns and important gateways of Arunachal Pradesh.

The journey follows the changing landscapes of the Siang Valley.

On arrival, explore selected local attractions and the surrounding landscape.

Depending on time and local conditions, visit nearby communities and experience the cultural landscape of the Adi people.

The evening can be spent relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere of the Siang region.

Day 8: Pasighat – Dibrugarh

Tour Ends: Dibrugarh

After breakfast, continue towards the Assam border and travel to Dibrugarh.
