Day 1: Dibrugarh – Namsai

Overnight: Namsai

Your Eastern Arunachal adventure begins in Dibrugarh, Assam.

Travel eastwards through the plains of Upper Assam towards Namsai, one of the important gateways to eastern Arunachal Pradesh.

After crossing into Arunachal Pradesh, the landscape gradually changes from the Assam plains to forested foothills.

On arrival at Namsai, visit the spectacular Golden Pagoda (Kongmu Kham), one of the region's most prominent Buddhist landmarks.

The complex offers a peaceful introduction to the Buddhist heritage of the region.

Spend the evening relaxing at your accommodation.

Day 2: Namsai – Tezu

Overnight: Tezu

After breakfast, continue towards Tezu, travelling through the scenic landscapes of the Lohit region.

Along the way, experience the changing landscape of eastern Arunachal—from forested foothills to broad river valleys and mountains.

Depending on time and local conditions, explore selected attractions around Tezu.

Tezu is surrounded by a culturally diverse landscape and provides an excellent base for experiencing eastern Arunachal.

The evening can be kept relaxed.

Day 3: Tezu – Hayuliang

Overnight: Hayuliang / nearby

Today the journey becomes increasingly offbeat as you travel towards Hayuliang.

The road follows spectacular mountain and river landscapes, with the Lohit River and surrounding Eastern Himalayan ranges forming a dramatic backdrop.

The journey itself is one of the highlights.

Stop at suitable viewpoints and villages along the way for photography and short walks.

On arrival at Hayuliang, settle into your accommodation and enjoy the peaceful mountain environment.

Day 4: Explore Hayuliang & Surrounding Landscapes

Overnight: Hayuliang / nearby

Spend the day exploring the landscapes and communities around Hayuliang.

Depending on local accessibility, visit selected villages and viewpoints and learn about the distinctive cultures of eastern Arunachal.

The region is particularly interesting for travellers who enjoy indigenous cultures, traditional architecture, agriculture and landscape photography.

Where appropriate, cultural interaction can be arranged with local residents.

The afternoon can be kept flexible for nature walks and photography.

Day 5: Hayuliang – Roing

Overnight: Roing

Continue towards Roing, one of the principal gateways to the Mishmi Hills.

The journey takes you through increasingly dramatic mountain landscapes, forests and river valleys.

Roing has an important cultural and natural connection with the Idu Mishmi community and the surrounding Mishmi Hills.

Depending on arrival time, explore the town and surrounding areas.

Day 6: Roing – Mayudia Pass – Roing

Overnight: Roing

Today explore the spectacular Mayudia Pass.

The road climbs through dense forests towards the mountain pass, where the landscape changes dramatically with elevation.

Depending on season and weather, the area can offer:

• Nature walks

During favourable winter conditions, snowfall may occasionally transform the higher reaches of the area.

Return to Roing by evening.

Day 7: Roing – Dibrugarh

Tour Ends: Dibrugarh

After breakfast, begin the return journey towards Assam.

Travel through the foothills and plains before arriving in Dibrugarh.
