Day 1 – Guwahati → Kaziranga

Mahamrityunjay Temple & Assamese Cultural Evening

Your journey begins in Guwahati, where you will be picked up and driven towards Kaziranga National Park, one of India's most celebrated wildlife destinations.

En route, visit the impressive Mahamrityunjay Temple, renowned for its distinctive architecture and spiritual significance.

Continue your drive towards Kaziranga through the scenic landscapes of Assam. On arrival, check in to your accommodation and relax.

In the evening, experience an Assamese cultural programme, offering an introduction to the region's rich traditions through music, dance and cultural performances.

Day 2 – Kaziranga National Park

Elephant Safari & Jeep Safari in the Central Zone

Rise early for one of the most memorable experiences of the journey — an Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park.

The early morning landscape offers an excellent opportunity to experience Kaziranga's grasslands and wetlands while searching for its remarkable wildlife. Kaziranga is particularly renowned for the greater one-horned rhinoceros, along with elephants, wild water buffalo, swamp deer and numerous bird species.

Return to your accommodation for breakfast and some time to relax.

In the afternoon, proceed for a Jeep Safari in the Central Zone of Kaziranga National Park. Explore the park's varied habitats in search of rhinos, elephants, deer, wild buffalo and other wildlife. The Central Zone is one of the best-known safari areas of Kaziranga and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Return to your accommodation after the safari.

Day 3 – Kaziranga → Jorhat

Kakochang Waterfalls & Tea Garden Stay

After breakfast, depart Kaziranga and drive towards Jorhat, the heart of Assam's tea country.

En route, visit Kakochang Waterfalls, a scenic cascade located amid the foothills of Karbi Anglong. Surrounded by greenery and natural landscapes, the waterfall provides an opportunity to enjoy Assam's quieter side away from the major tourist routes.

Continue towards Jorhat, passing through the landscape of tea gardens that has made this region synonymous with Assam tea.

Arrive at your tea garden accommodation and check in.

Spend the evening relaxing amidst the tea plantations and experiencing the peaceful atmosphere of Assam's tea country.

Day 4 – Jorhat

Ahom Heritage & Spiritual Assam

After breakfast, explore the historical and spiritual heritage of Jorhat.

Begin with a visit to Lachit Borphukan Maidam, the memorial complex associated with Lachit Borphukan, the celebrated Ahom general remembered for his leadership and military achievement.

Continue to Dhekiakhowa Bornamghar, one of Assam's important Vaishnavite spiritual centres. The site holds a special place in the religious and cultural life of Assamese society and provides an opportunity to understand the living traditions of Assam.

Return to your tea garden accommodation.

Depending on time and arrangements, you may enjoy a relaxed evening at the tea estate or explore aspects of the surrounding tea landscape.

Day 5 – Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary → Jorhat Airport

Nature Walk & Departure

After breakfast, conclude your Assam journey with a visit to Hollongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary, near Jorhat.

Enjoy a nature and wildlife experience in this important forest habitat, known particularly for its population of hoolock gibbons, India's only ape species. A guided nature walk allows you to explore the forest environment and observe its rich biodiversity.

After the visit, continue to Jorhat Airport for your onward journey.
