Arrive in Jorhat, one of Assam's important gateways to the Upper Assam region.

The remainder of the day is kept deliberately relaxed after your journey. Depending on your arrival time and interest, you may explore the surroundings of Jorhat or simply rest and prepare for the wildlife experiences ahead.
Jorhat is also an important centre of Assam's tea country, making it an ideal starting point for a wildlife journey through the state's diverse landscapes.

After an early breakfast, depart for Hoolongapar Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Assam's most fascinating forest habitats.The sanctuary is particularly renowned for the hoolock gibbon, India's only ape, along with other primates and forest wildlife.
The forest experience offers a completely different perspective from the open grasslands of Kaziranga.
After the sanctuary visit, continue towards Kaziranga National Park. Arrive at your hotel/lodge/resort and check in. The remainder of the evening is at leisure, allowing you to relax before the next day's safari experiences.
During the visit, keep an eye out for:

Begin the day early with an elephant safari in Kaziranga, subject to availability and prevailing forest regulations.
The elephant safari provides a distinctive perspective of Kaziranga's grassland habitat and offers opportunities to observe wildlife at relatively close range.
After lunch, proceed for a jeep safari in Kaziranga's Central Range, exploring its distinctive combination of tall grasslands, wetlands and forest. This is an excellent opportunity to search for Kaziranga's iconic rhinoceros as well as elephants, deer, wild buffalo and birds. With luck, you may also encounter some of the park's more elusive wildlife, including the tiger.
After breakfast, check out from Kaziranga and travel towards Nameri National Park, situated along the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas.
The landscape gradually changes as the journey moves towards the forested foothills.
On arrival at Nameri, check in to your accommodation.
Depending on forest conditions, local regulations and timing, enjoy a guided nature hike in and around the Nameri landscape.
The experience focuses on the forest ecosystem, birds, plants and smaller wildlife rather than a conventional vehicle safari.

After breakfast, depart Nameri and travel towards Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, located relatively close to Guwahati. After arrival and check-in, proceed for a jeep safari in Pobitora, depending on safari timing and availability.
Pobitora is particularly famous for its high density of the greater one-horned rhinoceros and offers a rewarding wildlife experience within a compact sanctuary.
Return to your accommodation after the safari and relax.
After breakfast, depart Pobitora and begin the journey towards Manas National Park.
The route takes you across the varied landscapes of Assam towards the Himalayan foothills and the Manas ecosystem.
On arrival, check in to your jungle lodge or nature resort.
The remainder of the day is intentionally kept relaxed.
Enjoy the surroundings of the lodge, take in the natural landscape or, where available and appropriate, participate in a short nature activity around the property.
This relaxed afternoon also allows you to prepare for the main Manas safari the following morning.
